Raditz is a
fictional character in the
Anime
Dragon Ball Z. He is a
Saiyan.
Raditz is the biological brother of
Goku and the son of
Bardock. Raditz travels to
Earth, from
Planet Vegeta to find out why Goku hasn't finished his mission (Goku was
sent to take over Earth). But upon arrival Raditz finds out that Goku is no
longer
evil but is
good and that Goku has no knowledge of his ancestry, so Raditz attempts
to persuade Goku into changing his ways but to no avail.
After Goku refuses, Raditz kidnaps
Gohan and contains the young
Halfbreed Saiyan in a Space Pod. However, Raditz' plan backfires when
Goku forms a temporary alliance with the then evil
Piccolo and together they attempt to defeat Raditz. The two fighters
fought in vain against the Saiyan, until Gohan breaks from the Space Pod and
headbutts Raditz, cracking his armour and dealing damage, allowing Goku to
restrain Raditz while Piccolo performs his
Special Beam Cannon. Piccolo's attack was just powerful enough to blast
through Raditz' cracked armour and Goku alike.
