Raichu is an Electric-type rodent
Pokémon, like its pre-evolution,
Pikachu. Raichu can be obtained by using a Thunderstone on Pikachu in
all 8
Pokémon
Role-playing games. Raichu is orange, with yellow cheek spots, brown
stripes on its back, brown ears, and a longer tail than Pikachu's. It uses
its tail as a ground to refrain from shocking itself. Raichu is one of the
Pokémon used by
Lt. Surge, the Electric type Gym Leader in Johto. In the Anime, Ash's
Pikachu is first beaten by Lt. Surge's Raichu, but then manages to
defeat it because it had evolved too quickly and had not yet learned
Agility.
