Yuming - Japanese singer-song writer
Yumi Arai (January 19, 1954 - ) is a singer-song writer, who was born in Tokyo, Hachiouji. She was Yoshie's(mother) second daughter. When she was 13, she was called Yuming by a Chinese artist, and this was the time when she renamed herself as Yuming. When she turned 14, she started to write her own songs because of the influence she had of an artist. In 1971, her first song made by herself. Then in 1973, she released her first album. In November 29, 1976,at the age of 22,she married Masataka Matsutouya. In 1990, she recieved a gold disc grand prix. She also made appearances in many TV commercials. She has a unique singing voice, and a talent for singing. She became famous for many songs but the most famous song is "ひこうき雲"(literally translated as contrail), and this was her debut song.
