Toshihiko Fukui - governor of the Bank of Japan
 

Toshihiko Fukui (福井俊彦 Fukui Toshihiko, b. September 7, 1935) is the governor of the Bank of Japan. He has held the position since March 2003.

Fukui graduated with an LL.B. from the University of Tokyo in 1958, and has worked at the Bank of Japan ever since. He became a general manager in 1980, director-general in 1985, and deputy governor in 1994.
