I think Kashiwa is such a compact but large city. So many different kind of people pass through it. Old people with sticks, young trendy girls going for fashion shopping, housewifes looking for bargain..
The ordinaryness of Kashiwa city makes its so nice. Its' a stereotype of Japanese city in general.

Yes, Sapporo does look great although I only went there this year in the middle of Winter so it was pretty cold. And as everyone says...the food is actually much better up there.

:smile:Niseko Ski Resort would have to be one of best places in Japan. Located in rural Hokkaido and just across from the Siberian coast line, Niseko is quite unique in that it caters to westerners. In fact half the population are Aussis and Kiwis.... If you are into skiing or snowboarding then put Niseko on your list of places to go. The Niseko-Links Directory gives a great overview of Niseko - www.niseko-links.com (http://www.niseko-links.com)

Nice plug for your site. But I have heard that Niseko has some of the best skiing in the world. Could be all hype though.

Niseko had 5 Meters of the very best champagne powder last December and 15 Meters over the winter season. Add in the cultural experience and the best cuisine anywhere and you have something very special. Great editorial at:
