Autumn has arrived in Japan, much to the relief of many Tokyoites who have been sufferering under the summer sun. For many people Autumn is their favorite time of year. One reason is the food. Japanese people maintain that the food tastes better in Autumn than at other times of the year.
And another reason is the leaves changing colour. This is caleed "kouyou". Now you can see many posters advertising places to visit where you can see many trees covered in red leaves and they are truly a magnificent sight. Especially if you are a city dweller.

If you get the chance take a stroll in a beautiful park such as Sankeien in Yokohama.

The nes reports say that this year in Kyoto the leaves will turn red/yellow later than usual. In my country they never have such ana nnouncement which shows what an important event it is to Japanese people.

Well here in Yokosuka, the leaves are starting to fall now. Was in Osaka this past weekend with my lady. The colors were vibrant still as ever.

Need to add that digital camara to my wish list again. Miss my old one.
