If you bumped into someone on accident in Japan and wanted to apologize, would you say "Sumimasen" and bow, or just bow or what??:omg: :embarasse :cat:

I really wouldn't want jump into one if they were not having a good day, they would go Kung-Fu on me or something. lol....:cat:

You would find that Japanese are normally polite and would be unlikely to be offended by your accidentally bumping into them.

If you wish to commute in the busy subways during rush hour, pushing and shoving are mandatory. I did this a few times in Tokyo and swore I could never get used to it. Read this article titled Japanese Commuter Train Thoughts (http://www.japan-101.com/travel/travel_commuter_train_thoughts.htm). I really like the author's take on this typically un-Japanese behavior.
