Hey iPodders, I have a ?

I just got an iPod, I was against them forever because I have another MP3 player that holds just as much, was about 3/4 the price, and shows up as a drive on any computer, making iTunes and all that not an issue. However, it's like 8 times the size of an iPod and I can't go running with it, so I finally caved. My question is, is there any software or whatnot that does this: http://www.podmaxx.com/about.php for free? Or do you think that the price is worth it for all that? I can't deal with iTunes, I need to subvert it in some way, and it bothers me to no end that I can't trade music with people.

Thats a good question. I dont have an ipod yet but im thinking of getting one.

I looked around at this place (I don't have a link, it's called ilounge) with all sorts of information about ipods, more than I could sort through, didn't find anything that does what Podmaxx does. I think I'm just gonna get it, only $20 after all. I like my ipod, it's really good for running.

I did buy it. I highly recommend it. I could write a review about the features but I'd just say the same thing as the website. Podmaxx does everything it says it's supposed to, and the interface is extremely simple to use (easier than itunes). I really enjoy having my outlook info (calendar, e-mails, etc.) synced on my ipod, it's nice to be able to use it as a PDA as well as an mp3 player. It's sick how powerful a piece of equipment it is once all the features are unlocked.

i was checking out the ipod the other day and the picture quality for video was pretty good
in fact much better than i had expected and i thought it would be very cool for travelling
if you got the 60gb version you could put more than 10 movies on it or much more tv shows but of course there is the battery issue
i think you can only watch the videos for a short time because the screen its up the power
