Have ever been in Uzbekistan? No? Ok, I'll tell you about this beautiful country!
Maybe you listened about "Th Great Silk Road"... so... "The great Silk road" - the large ancient transit, that connect countries of the East and West and their people. Here, Eastern and Western traditions and customs have merged into a single whole, and unique monuments of Medieval Eastern architecture, the Kukeldash and Barak-Khana Madrassahs erected in the 16th century, have been preserved to this day. Today Tashkent is the largest city in the Central Asia. It is famous as one of the world centers of science and culture. The collection of the Uzbek Museum of Fine Arts would be honour to any capital city, while the items of traditional arts and national architecture displayed at the Museum of Applied Art of Uzbekistan. .... Looks very historical? Is it a safe place to visit? Can I get by with English? Is it expensive?

Uzbekistan is the center of The Silk Road. So, many tourists from various countries come here to look at the architectural memorials. Including from Japan:-) Certainly, your safety here is guarenteed. Especially if your tourist-trip is made up by professional tour-operators.
