My grandma just got her first computer a month ago. She’s pretty good at the point and click thing by now. She wants to learn Photoshop. It’s pretty cute to see this little 76-year-old lady on the internet. We both got an easy video chat app (http://www.oovoo.com/) so that we can have conversations without her having to type. She is pretty into the online gambling thing too, which I think is funny. Luckily she doesn't use the sites that use real money, but she's always telling me how much she won, very cute. Anyone else have grandparents or parents on the internet?

My mother bought her first pc when she retired and uses it quite a lot. For example buying airline tickets and of course email and chat. She is still quite confused by the windows and stuff though so for example if she can't see the window, she thinks its not there.

lol that's cute. My dad (who's very savvy for his age cuz he's a mathematician) told me that the basic skill of knowing that an icon stands for something non-pictoral is something that has only come into the average home since the use of computers. I guess there's a lot of stuff I take for granted. You should get your mom Oovoo, moms love it because you can do video mail and chat and it's super easy to use.

I'll definitely check it out. Although she has just gotten used to messenger and skype. I'm not sure I want to throw another one at her.
