I have decided to strat this thread as I am intent on working in Kyushu (hopefully Kagoshima), and as I am in Kuwait, I am finding it tough to contact all the employers.
I am seeking to stay permanently in Japan
I am a British citizen, UK trained Teacher of Geography at High School.
I have taught History and English as well and have previous experience of teaching in Japan with NOVA for 2 1/2 years between 1998 and 2001.
I am currently the Head of Geography at Kuwait International English School and Head of Year 9.
The type of employment I am looking for is quite broad as I have found that the international schools in Japan rarely have vacancies.
I made it to the interview for the British School in Tokyo, but would really like to live and work in Kyushu.
I am also qualified as a SCUBA Diving International (SDI) instructor as well as being a Freediving instructor with AIDA.
I am very flexible in terms of what I teach in Japan, however I lean more towards teaching ages 11 and up.
ALT positions or language schools would be ideal.
Please find my CV attached.
Thankyou to anyone that is able to help
