Default Good shops in Tokyo for anime cosplay?

Hi, I'm taking my 14yr old daughter who is an Otaku (anime freak) to visit Tokyo this May and I was wondering what are the best shops to look for cosplay? She'll also be interested in school supplies / accessories that have anime branding.

Thanks in advance for the help! Peter

Hi Peter:

So you're taking your 14 year old anime fan shopping in Tokyo. Lucky girl! I can't recommend any specific shops but I'm certain you won't have to look very far no matter what part of the city you're in. Perhaps Tokyo has an anime super-store or two, or three. Hopefully someone will let us know here.

I did find this article which is spot-on for your question. I'm not sure of the date it was written but read this article titled "As an anime fan, what do I need to know to visit Tokyo?" (http://www.nd.edu/~anime/news.html)

The other prime anime bargain hunting spot is Nakano Broadway, a 4 story indoor mall located in Nakano, only one stop away from Shinjuku by the Chuo-Sobu Line train. As you arrive in the Nakano train station from Shinjuku, you'll see it on your right. You literally can't miss it. In Nakano Broadway you'll find numerous branches of Mandarake specializing in yaoi doujinshi, shops for new and used doujinshi, hentai doujinshi, and manga, anime toys, video, CDs and video games, cosplay goods and costumes and more. You'll also find 3 shops that deal exclusively in anime production cels: Anime World Star, Commit, and Zero; along with shops specializing in used console games, PC games, laserdiscs, Japanese audio and video, and discount luggage, alcohol, clothes, kitchen goods, and groceries.

Thumbs up What is a cosplay-good question!

Now that is a very good question! I have been loving anime ever since i can remember!
And i found out about a year ago what cosplay is. Now Before i answer your question please tell me how long have you been loving anime if you do love it?
Ok so cosplay is when you dress up like a character from an anime.
I would dress up as an anime character for halloween if everyone in my school didn't hate anime so much (and japan)

So i hope i was useful!
