Description:	Daikon (or daicon) is a radish type vegetable common in many Japanese dishes. Often found finely grated as a garnish for sushi or cut into bite sized pieces and cooked in soups. This photo was taken at a Chinese grocer. It would more typical to find daikon better cleaned, trimmed and individually wrapped at a Japanese grocer.
