The Tokyū Toyoko Line (東急東横線) is a major commuter train service connecting Tokyo (Shibuya) to Yokohama. The service is operated by the private Tokyo Kyuko Electric Railway company.

The first section of the line from Tamagawa to Kanagawa opened on February 14, 1926. Sections were opened incrementally until the entire length from Shibuya to Sakuragicho in Yokohama was opened on March 31, 1932. On August 29, 1964, through service to the Eidan Hibiya subway line started.

On January 30, 2004, service from Yokohama station to Sakuragicho was stopped. Two days later, on February 1, 2004, through service from Yokohama station through the Minato Mirai 21 development to central Yokohama on the new Minato Mirai subway line started.
