Ren'ai is the Japanese term for what is known in
English as Dating Simulation or Dating Sim
games.
Kanon &
Tokimeki Memorial are very famous examples. Many dating sim games are
turned into anime, sometimes as
harem anime. While the Japanese term is generally not used in fandom,
it gained popularity with the
Megatokyo webcomic as one of the favorite video games of the main
character Piro. |
