Sonic Advance 2 is a
video game in the
Sonic the Hedgehog series that was released for the
Game Boy Advance.
The game was released in
Japan on
December 19,
2002. It was released in
North America on
March 10,
2003 and it was released in
Europe on
March 18, 2003.
The game's engine was modified from that of
its prequel.
In order to get to the special stages, one must collect all five
special rings in a stage. If one passes the stage, the character gets a
Chaos Emerald. Unlike the game's prequel, emeralds are not shared
between characters.

Cream the Rabbit and her

Cheese are playable after Leaf Forest is completed.

Tails is playable after Music Plant is completed.

Knuckles the Echidna is playable after Sky Canyon is completed.

Amy Rose is playable after all of the other characters get all seven
Chaos Emeralds and the game must be cleared on all four of those
characters.
